Growth will slow down
Saskatchewan will continue to lead the country in economic growth in 2009, but at a slower pace, reflecting lower commodity prices and the global economic downturn, says a senior bank economist.
"Growth rates for both `08 and `09 have been revised downwards,`` said Paul Ferley, assistant chief economist for the RBC Financial Group. "For `08, we`re now talking about growth of 3.5 per cent dropping to 2.8 per cent in 2009.``
