Hello Everyone,

This is a question for those members that have done a fair amount of research on the US RE market.

Amidst all the talk of real estate prices in the US dropping, massive foreclosures and the like, are there areas in the US that real estate prices are rising?

This is more of a curiosity than anything else.

Thanks
Vince

Apparently so.

Waco, Texas
Beaumont, Texas
Laredo, Texas
Wichita, KS
Fayetteville, NC

These markets have been identified as "emerging" by David Lindahl.

We own apartment buildings in Texas (DFW area), and are acquiring more as we speak .. and yes, we have noticed a rise in rents, lower vacancies and higher prices per door !

This may or may not be true for single family houses in the same area .. but they have never risen to that extent in the DFW area anyway !

And expect property taxes to rise dramatically, as states go after the pockets with money in order to pay for huge debt.
