What are some cool tech products/upgrades for real estate?

I am looking for something geared towards landlords and their rental properties. Ideas I got so far: keyless entry, nest thermostat, solar panels, and automatic door for pets. Any other ideas?

Ecobee looks promising! But it seems they don't support Android, only Apple for controlling devices.

We've looked into home automation through Rodgers... I wasn't planning on considering it- but had a referral to follow through on and talked with the representative.

Lots of ways that would help protect our houses better as a landlord (sewer back up/fire/furnace issues... Utility monitoring...

I don't know enough (because we have too many items that come before it in importance right now) but I'd say it would be worth hearing what they can/are doing.
