Published: August 07, 2008 6:39 AM The Red Deer and District Community Foundation is looking for people to rate the quality of life in Red Deer for an upcoming report card.
The foundation is in the middle of preparing its annual report, Vital Signs 2008.
Using statistics as well as community feedback, the report will grade Red Deer in 12 areas, ranging from health and safety to housing and the environment.
Residents are asked to go online at www.rddcf.ca and answer a series of questions related to Red Deer`s vitality and indicate what issues are important to them. They will be asked if the city spends enough on the arts, whether residents are making enough charitable donations and the number of people who voted in the last election.
Janice Wing, CEO of the Red Deer and District Community Foundation, is hopeful about 1,000 people will take this year`s survey. Last year`s inaugural survey had about 200 responses, she said.
The completed 2008 report is scheduled to be released on Oct. 7
