Stay variable is what it tells me .. Why: since RBC`s guess for rates in 2 or 5 years is only marginally better than ours, they have to add a substantial risk premium in for fixed rates over variable. Thus, variable rates are the way to go .. beter to keep some cash in teh bank from saving to allow for a potential (but unlikely) sharp increase in rates !
