Gasoline prices crept upward Wednesday as the price of crude oil soared to an all-time high on concerns over a possible production cut by OPEC members.

The average Canadian price at the gas pumps was around $1.085 per litre, more than a full cent above Tuesday`s average of $1.072 per litre after oil reached another peak of $101.32 US, before ending trading at $100.74 US on Wednesday. Crude closed at $100.01 US a barrel on Tuesday, the first time ever it had finished above the $100-mark.
