Hi All!

This might be way out in left field but I stumbled across an interesting website, could be considered one of Don`s "you`re reading too many blogs" type places I suppose.

http://www.trendlines.ca/

Anyway I found their approach to predicting future oil prices interesting and somewhat unique(to me anyway). Especially the way they have a number of different organizations predictions all plotted together to get a best fit.

Thought I`d share and see what any of you think.

Cheers!

Hi Cody,

I read the book, in the link following, a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, he makes an excellent and thorough case for inevitable large increases in oil prices. On the positive side he suggests that there are benefits; one being the recovery of the manufacturing sector. His logic is based on the cost of shipping becoming a barrier to offshore manufacturing. It raises the question as to whether there will be investment opportunities to match.
