With the Mayor`s Task Force on Ending Homelessness releasing its long-awaited report last week, it is reasonable to wonder these days if Red Deer has evolved into an oasis of caring and compassion in a province more historically consumed with cowboy culture, oil revenues and earning oodles and oodles of cash.
My goodness, is this city turning into a Mecca of all things liberal? – a little bit of left of centre heaven for those who want to run from the rat races of Calgary and Edmonton, and feel wonder and freedom in a place that truly cares about the human spirit.
