More than 35000 participants and 280 exhibitors committed at the cityscape event held in Dubai on Sunday 21 September 2014.

The big projects revealed worth billions of dirhams at the cityscape event.

I went to Dubai and Abu Dhabi last year. Impressive cities and real estate projects indeed. Unfortunately the projects are built on sand, physically and literally as women's rights, workers' rights and democratic institutions are all missing. The Roman Empire collapsed as too few citizens required too many slaves to control an ever larger territory. Only if a true middle class emerges in the Middle East, with rights for gays, women, non-Muslims and the many immigrants will it be a sustainable society. With Russia collapsing due to financial sanctions by G7 nations, the Middle East is not far behind unless dramatic changes are coming. Saudi Arabia will face enormous pressures due to its arcane policies, especially relating to Jews, infidels and women. Some of the UAE countries are already running out of oil. With the US and Canada being net oil exporters times are changing - fast - and it is not all wonderful, or up up up in terms of real estate values for Dubai or Abu Dhabi or Riad.

Be very careful to place your money in Middle East real estate ! Very !

Better, far safer places in both US or Canada are available to live or invest in !
