A dramatic revision of Hastings Street has divided a Burnaby neighbourhood.
On one side, there are those - many of them business owners - who support the city`s plan allow shops and low-rise condos on Hastings Street east of Willingdon Avenue, saying the area has been stuck in a steep decline.
On the other are the residents living near Hastings who say the development will create noise and parking problems and, worst of all, rob them of their privacy and views.
