Accessing Major Investment Capital from Outside of Canada

Hi fellow investors!

I have recently been approached about JV`ing with people from outside of Canada. They have the capital, and I can find the property. I am looking for knowledgeable people(s) who can share some insight, know how, and expertise with me. Perhaps this is better suited for a weekend course, however, I know that there are those who have done it. I just don`t know who!

A few things to consider:

Why did they approach YOU?? Do you know them personally? Reason I ask is that a lot of people like to "fish" and say they are big time investors but are only looking for more information about what you are offering.

Also, have you/they considered the tax implications of owning property out of country??

I`m not saying it can`t be done, but you need to do your homework and make sure you structure it appropriately. Lastly, it should be a sizeable amount of capital before proceeding, in my opinion.
