Poll finds 2/3 Winnipeg pet owners would pay a surcharge to keep their pets
A poll suggests a majority of Winnipeg pet owners would be willing to pay a landlord an additional monthly subsidy, or pet rent, if it meant they could keep their furry friends.
The Winnipeg Humane Society had Probe Research ask 600 Winnipeggers last month if they'd be willing to pay a monthly fee in order to keep their pet. And if so, how much of a fee.
