Inflation gave a noticeable pump to the list of major projects tracked by the provincial government at the end of 2007 as the list`s value increased for the 18th straight quarter, though the total number of projects declined slightly.
The ministry of economic development`s major projects inventory saw 45 projects worth $3.9 billion added to its list in the fourth quarter of 2007, bringing the total value of projects in planning or under construction to a record $148 billion. However, the total number of projects underway or in planning on the inventory slipped to 835 at the end of 2007 compared with 843 at the close of 2007`s third quarter.
