When Scotiabank was selecting a city to host its 2008 annual meeting, Edmonton was the obvious choice.
The bank has already moved into the Alberta capital in a big way, anyway -- from opening new branches, transferring employees to the city and giving Edmonton more than its share of resources.
"With so much going on in Edmonton and northern Alberta, this is just a great time for us, our board and management, to come out and see first-hand what`s going on," Scotiabank CEO and president Rick Waugh said in an interview.
