The last while it seems the price of houses in Calgary have cooled. Does anyone know whether house prices will continue this way or not? Would it be a good time to buy right now, or would it be better to invest somewhere else Alberta? I appreciate the reply.

Thanks,

Mike

If you buy at the right price .. you will not be disappointed .. however the Calgary (or overall AB) market is NOT growing nearly as fast as the last 4 - 10 years ... but with patience, skills, the right location, the right management you will be OK long term, IF you can hold long term .. which implies you must have cash-flow !

It would have been impossible to keep up the pace that we have had in Calgary over the last 6 years. Finally we are seeing the market enter a strong plateau. Only buy based on getting cash-flow right now (YES, it is once again possible due to the strong rental increases and softer sellers` market).

Long term economics still look very strong once this hump is over.
