Out of the nutshell:
Born, raised and lived in Baden Wuerttemberg and Bavaria, Germany for over 30 years, I arrived Mid 2008 in Ontario as a Permanent Resident with a Skilled Worker Visa with my family. Working as a free IT Consultant in Northern Ontario, but being in love with Real Estate, I am happy that I found REIN in November 08. February 09, after reading the Version 2 of Dons Real Estate Investing in Canada, I bought a local 5plex to start our journey to our personal freedom. July 2009 we also added a condo, a duplex and a family home to our portfolio.
I enjoy learning every day something new about the country, the people, the tenant/landlord act. Proudly I can say that my wife is supporting me 100% in my Real Estate ambitions.

Update May 2010:
After a 6 month pause to structure and incorporate, I formed now a team around myself and added some more properties (another 5plex, 4 Single Res, Commercial building with 4 apartments and 4 commercial stores- all private deals).
Update June 2011:
Still shopping- often MLS, often privat deals. Added with a partner a 12,000 sq.ft commercial building, which had 60% vacancy. Filled it now to 30% vacancy within three months. Added also a Triplex, three Single Res and a 4-plex. Sold worst performing Single Res to free up cash for better projects. Also did a JV- me as money partner.
Update October 2011:
Incorporated a Property Management Company with my partner to manage our own properties, but also from Investors, who are looking for Managers in the blue sky region. We are very IT savvy and offer our tenants to create work orders through our ticket system, print their own rent receipt aso...
