Update #1 To The A-L.I.F.E. Program

On top of all the already detailed list of topics to be covered this coming weekend another presentation is being added on Sunday in the Raising Money section of the event of the A.L.I.F.E. weekend. Wow! This is going to be some event and I am delighted to be playing a part over the weekend by bringing an international flavour to the party.

Over the last few months I have had even more questions about how to raise investment dollars in ‘this’ economy. The reality is that people are more cautious, nervous and are doing more homework before they hand their hard earned money over and they should. This does not mean they are not handing their money over to people to invest for them but this is the time to get serious about the business of real estate.

The principles have not changed but the playing conditions have!

For 20 years I have been in the area of sales and more recently have done real estate JV’s with people from Ireland, UK, Denmark and Australia as well as purchasing real estate personally in 6 countries around the world.

Consumer confidence affects market results and our own Personal confidence affects our own results and this weekend I will be speaking about this very subject. Inner personal confidence is the number 1 personal fundamental when looking to achieve success in your life.

Like Philip, I am jazzed about this weekend's REIN meeting, maybe more than any since my first in May of 2003. I remember talking to Don about the project for this meeting many months ago (last year in fact), so you have to know a ton of work has gone into putting this event together.

And while not international or exotic at all in nature, I will bring another flavour in my contribution to the Overcoming Obstacles panel - COMMITMENT. One of the questions I often ask people seeking their own SUCCESS is "How committed are you - to your goals, to yourself, to your success (however you define it)?"

Some of the most important things I have learned in determining how we create our success:

1. What challenges have you overcome?

2. What are some of your god-given, inherent and natural talents? What are your best characteristics and strengths.

3. What unique experiences have you had?

4. What are you knowledgeable about? What are your skills? What are your learned strengths?

5. What are you passionate about? How can you use that in your business?

6. How does your character influence your success in overcoming obstacles?
