A. REIN™ is a research-based company focused on teaching people how to invest in real estate. We never sell properties to our members, so the information provided is completely unbiased. We keep on top of everything to do with Canadian real estate. REIN™ is based in Canada and our methods can be applied across the country. - Q. How would REIN™ membership benefit me?
A. Membership with REIN™ has many benefits: a. Access to our network of 3,000 like-minded real estate investors from across Canada and around the world b. Access to our panel of experts c. A. No. The ACRE program is designed to teach the fundamentals of real estate investing. Membership is designed for those who prefer ongoing support and research. - Q. How do I get the free gifts offered in your books?
A. The four free gifts mentioned in the book can be accessed by registering your book at www.realestateinvestingincanada.com. Once you have registered your book, an email will be sent out immediately linking to the gifts as promised. At this point you can also sign up for our monthly newsletter, allowing you to keep on top of market fundamentals. - Q. How often is the Top Investment Town Report updated?
A. The Top Investment Town Reports are designed to identify areas with great long term investment potential. For this reason, updates are done every 3 years and often the towns don't change much. We aim for towns with a future, not a past.

A. We actually recommend the program for 3 years and have members who have been with us for over 10. What we've noticed is that when you join, your first 6 months involve a very steep learning curve. Confidence then begins to build and you start to get into action. There is momentum that comes at the 12 month mark and we've noticed that a lot of the members are doubling their real estate portfolio during the 12-17 month period. We want to assist investors who are committed to their future and after having trained investors for over 15 years we see the biggest results for investors occuring around the 17 month mark. This is why we ask members to commit to 17 months. We want you to move through the difficult stage in order to achieve results. Your fellow Members also know that the room only has committed investors, not fly by nighters, making it a much safer room. - Q. What happens at the Members' Only REIN Monthly Workshops?
A. Each month we present new topics; it is not the same information over and over. The key is Don R. Campbell's What's Behind The Curtain a look at the key fundamentals that are driving the local and national real estate market. Yes, Don R. Campbell presents at 90% of all REIN Workshops live and in person. In addition, we present new investing strategies, financing strategies, Landlording Solutions, mortgage updates, market fundamentals, and more. We also often have guest speakers come in (Benjamin Tal - economist, Peter Kinch - mortgage specialist, Les Hewitt - power of focus, Steve McKnight - Australian real estate guru, Tony Morehen - Alberta economist, and accountants, tax specialists, Joint Venture experts and much more - all focused on Canadian Specific strategies). They are there to teach, not sell stuff at the back of the room. Why would they do this? Simply, they know they are speaking to a group of committed action takers and know they are making a difference. - Q. Can I join if I'm a realtor?
A. Realtors are key Members of a REIN Members' investment team, without them life would be much more difficult. That being said, the REIN group is designed to assist investors in investing. So yes, any real estate professional can and do REIN™ so they can build their own personal portfolios. However, we do ask for 12 months payment upfront, and a realtor addendum must be signed. - Q. What is the difference between ACRE™ Live and the ACRE™ Homestudy?
A. The ACRE™ Homestudy and the live event cover the same material. There are benefits to both programs depending on your preferred learning style. The live event is great because it allows you to meet other like-minded investors. The live event is also very motivational and can certainly spur you into taking action. This event does cover a lot of information so be ready to take copious notes as there is no way to retain everything just by listening. The biggest benefit to the Homestudy is the continual access to the information via CD so that you can go over any section multiple times if you're having trouble grasping a concept. All of the same reports and handouts are given with both programs. - Q. Does REIN™ only focus on Western Canada?
A. REIN™ is Canadian-based and our systems can be applied across the country. We have 2,700 members from all across Canada and around the world. Whether you become a Member in the East or West you have direct access to the research of every region of the country. Each Workshop is designed to address the local market conditions so that you know exactly what your next steps are for the following month. - Q. What does the ACRE Homestudy Program offer above and beyond the book Real Estate Investing in Canada's material?
A. The book outlines a number of topics covered in the Homestudy, but the book is just a preview of the detail. The Homestudy covers the fundamentals of real estate investing in great detail and is continually updated to reflect the latest market changes. Included in the home study are 13 full-length CDs that walk you through the complete system for finding, buying and managing a portfolio of investment real estate. While the book will certainly open your eyes to the idea of real estate investing it is just a primer. The ACRE Homestudy Program will teach you exactly how to do it in great detail. - Q. Is there any sort of signing bonus for becoming a REIN Member?
A. We do offer a signing bonus for joining REIN™ to help you get started. In fact the value of the package is over $3,000. This includes the ACRE Homestudy and the top investment town report for your region (AB, BC, or ON), along with the REIN™ binder, which will help you start taking action and profiting from your membership. - Q. Do you offer a one-on-one mentorship program?
A. REIN™ is not a one-on-one mentorship program. We provide you with all the tools to become successful in real estate and will do whatever we can to help. For those that need more individualized attention, we can often set up a quasi-mentorship with a senior REIN™ member. We can also set up direct one-on-one telephone calls with either Russell Westcott or Don Campbell once you are a member, to help you achieve your goals. In addition, you receive a list of private e-mail addresses to Real Estate Experts across the country who are primed to answer your questions. Whether they are legal, accounting, property, landlording, marketing or general real estate questions you will be directly contacted so in fact it is better than having just one coach, you access the coach you need at the time you need. - Q. How can I invest if my credit stinks?
A. No sugar coating here. Despite the claims of those late-night promises, real estate investment with bad credit and no money touted in the U.S., real estate requires money from somewhere; you, or a Joint Venture partner you are working with, will need to be able to qualify for a mortgage if you hope to finance this venture. This does not mean you are out of luck: many members have overcome financial bumps, but you need to start working on your credit now. For instance many investors work with Joint Venture partners and this has proven to be a very successful route to follow. A. Real estate costs money, but it doesn't have to be your own. At our monthly meetings we cover such topics and teach our members how to become money magnets. Your strength will come from your vast knowledge of real estate: you can then find money partners to finance your ventures using the joint venture system. This is just one way REIN™ members have been able to purchase $2 billion worth of investments so far. - Q. If I'm interested in membership is there any way I can speak to members before I join?
A. Absolutely! Please contact our office and we will do our best to have a few members e-mail or call you to discuss REIN™. What you'll find is that REIN Members enjoy helping others to become successful... no scarcity mentality here! - Q. Can I attend a meeting before I join to see if I like it?
A. Meetings are for members only. We screen potential members carefully, looking for those that are truly committed to achieving their goals. This helps us to keep a positive environment focused on real estate investing. If you are truly serious about achieving your goals and becoming a REIN™ member, contact us and we will see what we can do. - Q. How many REIN Members do you have?
A. We currently have just over 3,000 members across Canada who have purchased well in excess of $2 Billion of real estate. We also have Members in the U.S. and overseas. - Q. Where does your group meet?
A. REIN™ meets monthly in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto. We typically meet in the evenings with a few "power" workshops that last all day Saturday. Please view our calendar to see when the next REIN™ meeting is in your area. - Q. When is the next ACRE™ Program being presented live?
A. We typically hold 4 ACRE™ Live programs a year in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto. Click here to check out all upcoming events listed on our calendar. - Q. Why isn't my town in your Top BC Investment Towns, Top Alberta Investment Towns or Top Ontario Investment Towns Reports?
A. Just because a certain town did not make our list does not mean there are no good investment opportunities there. We compile our list based on the fundamentals driving the particular region. The towns we identify in our reports have a future, not a past, and will give a better than average return on your investment. There are thousands of towns across Canada,many of which are not on the Top Ten but will provide investors excellent returns. - Q. Can I just pick my product up from your office?
A. Our offices are not walk-in and are strictly research and administrative facilities. We will courier you all of the reports and research directly to you. - Q. Does your organization sell properties?
A. VERY CLEARLY: We do NOT sell real estate to our clients - we believe this crosses the boundary between information and research provider vs "Property Salesman". REIN™ does not sell properties. We are strictly a research and education based company and that is why our information is unbiased and so well respected in the media across the country. - Q. How can I advertise my services to your members?
A. If you are referred to as a trustworthy supplier by a REIN™ member, you can be placed on the Members' Resource Directory that is available to all Members. This list is made up of REIN™ member owned or recommended businesses, many of whom give a discount to REIN™ members. Members can also list properties on the classified ads section. We do not provide advertisement opportunities to non-members. - Q. How do I join REIN™?
A. Please visit www.realestateinvestingincanada.com to download an application. You can review payment options and terms of contract directly from the application. Please call if you have any questions. - Q. Can you offer anything to persons that are wishing to join, but that are too far away to attend meetings?
A. Certainly! For those wishing to join from afar we offer a by-mail membership option. You will receive all the information from the workshops each month to your door, including audio CDs (we record each workshop). The same signing bonus still applies and by-mail members can still attend ACRE™ programs for free. This option has the same 17 month commitment and commencement fee. All benefits remain the same. - Q. Are all your members in Canada?
A. The majority of our members are in Canada and all of our research is Canadian. However, we have a number of members from the U.S. and overseas. - Q. Does REIN™ deal with foreclosures or flips?
A. REIN does not deal directly with foreclosures and we do not focus on flipping for fast cash. Our main emphasis is identifying areas for long term investment, buy and hold. However, a number of members branch out into commercial, flipping, etc after becoming proficient in long term residential. - Q. Should I complete the ACRE™ Homestudy program before joining?
A. Completing the ACRE™ Homestudy before joining is certainly an option. Please note that members attend ACRE™ programs for free and also receive the home study as part of their signing bonus. If you purchase the ACRE™ Homestudy then decide to become a Member, we will not refund your original purchase. We will, however, replace the home study in your signing bonus package with other support Programs of the same or higher value at no charge so your reference library continues to grow. - Q. Can I get refunded for the top investment town report if I join?
A. We do not issue refunds for materials purchases prior to joining. See above point. - Q. Is REIN™ part of the better business bureau?
A. The Real Estate Investment Network™ has been a member in good standing for over 10 years. - Q. Does REIN™ offer a family membership package?
A. Yes! If your spouse or real estate business partner would like to join with you they can certainly join as an associate. REIN members are able to have up to two associate members under their primary membership. Associate members enjoy all the same benefits as primary members for $99/month. The only difference is that the ACRE Homestudy is not included in the signing bonus. You can, however, purchase the home study for a great reduced rate: $287. - Q. Does REIN™ offer a corporate membership?
A. Please see the family/associate member question above. Each member can have 2 associates under their primary membership. These associates must be either family members or real estate business partners. - Where can I learn even more about REIN™?
